Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent

Working in the Marketing, Content and Brand team within the marketing and external relations directorate, you will join a dynamic, and hard-working team playing a pivotal role in producing social media content for the University of Greenwich.

Your primary responsibilities will involve planning and executing our social media posts across all our channels (TikTok, Instagram, X formerly known as Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn). You will ensure our content aligns with our brand and effectively reflects our ethos and values. Additionally, you'll be tasked with enhancing our corporate reputation, promoting student recruitment, services, and facilities.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about content creation and social media and has experience managing social media accounts for a large company. As well as being able to write engaging copy for our channels, you will have the skill and experience to film and edit ‘reel’ type videos for our Instagram and TikTok channels. We’re looking for someone who has their finger on the pulse on social media trends and who enjoys consuming social media content in their spare time.

As you will be working with a range of stakeholders at all levels of the university to advise and support on social media requirements, a can-do attitude, organisational skills, and professionalism is a must.

You will be responsible for creating User Generated Content, sourcing stories from our current students to show what student life is like at the University of Greenwich through video content for our TikTok and Instagram channels.

The ideal candidate for this position will be up to date in the latest advancements within the social media landscape with a creative flair. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, and experience working with sites such as Canva and be able to create assets for our channels. You will also have worked with social media management platform tools (i.e. Orlo, Hootsuite etc.), and be able to film and edit videos for TikTok and Reels either with the in-app tools or other available apps.
