As the Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) you will operate as the University's professional service lead for EDI, and lead and manage our EDI team. This role is about embedding the University's core value of EDI in everything we do.
As the strategic operational lead for EDI, you will lead on the development and implementation of the University's EDI Strategy as well as our Public Sector Equality Duty objectives. You will engage and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to identify key areas of activity and build confidence and commitment for change. Leading the EDI team, you will ensure that their work is focused and prioritised for maximum impact.
You will excel at developing strategies and turning them into action and have an ability to turn your EDI knowledge and experience into practical ideas and solutions. You will be able to build great relationships and exert influence at all levels in order to take people with you. An experienced people manager, you are passionate about utilising the skills and talents of the people in your teams as well as in the wider organisation. The role will report directly to the Head of People Engagement, and Culture and work very closely with the Dean of EDI.
