This role is based at the BGS headquarters in Keyworth, Nottingham

Full-time – 37 hours a week (some flexible working options may be available including a small amount of remote working, although this is primarily a laboratory-based role)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Geochemist.
Key duties / responsibilities will include:
Candidates will be qualified to degree level in a relevant subject, with an aptitude for practical activities (eg lab experiments) but other skills such as data handling and modelling would be desirable.
Given BGS’s current and future commitments to externally funded work relevant to Decarbonisation & Resource Management, you will become involved in projects relating to radioactive waste, CCS, geothermal, energy storage, hydrogen storage and unconventional hydrocarbons.
Appropriate training including both internal and external courses will be given to the successful candidate.
