Veterinary Lecturer in Clinically Integrated Physiology and Pharmacology

The School of Veterinary Medicine is seeking to appoint an Veterinary Lecturer to deliver a range of teaching across the veterinary and animal sciences. Working with local partners we have developed a modern, innovative veterinary programme, focused on producing clinically competent, compassionate, and pragmatic graduates. We believe that everyone, regardless of background, has an opportunity to turn their aspirations of a career in animal care into a reality. 

The successful candidate will provide innovative education and student support and be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of teaching materials across both BVMS and Bioveterinary sciences courses, as well as postgraduate programmes. You will have experience of teaching in a Higher Education environment and will be keen to develop and deliver a clinically integrated, outcomes-focused course.

We are looking for a self-motivated and pro-active individual, with an excellent track record of building and sustaining internal and external relationships alongside excellent communication and networking skills. The successful candidate will have: 

• A sound knowledge and practical experience of clinically integrated physiology/pharmacology and associated technical and practical skills.
• Experience of delivering high-quality teaching and assessment. 
• A good honours degree (or equivalent) in an animal science, veterinary or agricultural discipline
• A higher education teaching qualification (e.g. PGCHE, FHEA or equivalent)) or a commitment to complete one within one year of appointment
