Role

A position of Audio Systems Engineer & Programmer (KTP Associate) is available to work as part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership project with the AudioLab, School of Physics, Engineering and Technology at the University of York and Bonza Music Ltd based at the Catalyst building at University of York.

Bonza Music is an innovative disruptive music technology start up business that is developing its patent-pending immersive technology, enabling musicians of any age or proficiency to learn, practice, play and record music together, in real-time, online.

Skills, Experience & Qualification needed

You will have:

Qualifications

  • MSc in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or equivalent

Knowledge

  • Audio programming
  • Excellent knowledge of c/c++ programming environments
  • Good working knowledge of computer hardware

Skills, abilities and competencies

  • Able to communicate to a high standard orally and in writing to a broad range of audiences at all levels
  • Active in developing positive working relationships
  • Flexibility under pressure and in adapting to changing needs
  • A proactive approach and the ability to use initiative and problem solving skills

Experience

  • Experience of carrying out both independent and collaborative research
  • Ability to work as part of a team and also to work independently using own initiative
