About the Job
The Programme Coordinator is essential in managing and executing academic programmes, aligning with the college's strategic aims and upholding academic standards. This role involves supporting the Programme Leader, adhering to external regulatory requirements, and ensuring day-to-day operational efficiency. Responsibilities include managing communications, organising academic materials, and facilitating academic processes to enhance student learning. The coordinator works closely with staff across departments to promote best practices and efficiency in teaching and learning, including timetable management, coursework, and exams. As a key contact for students, the coordinator oversees student support and ensures the smooth running of programmes, demanding strong organisational skills and a commitment to academic excellence.
About You
The ideal candidate for this role possesses an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, complemented by further professional development, with a postgraduate degree being desirable. Essential experience includes a background in higher education administration, familiarity with B3 statistics, NSS results for HEIs, and a thorough understanding of the UK Higher Education landscape. Desirable experience involves practical engagement with technical and digital innovations and teaching in Further or Higher Education settings. Candidates must demonstrate strategic planning skills, problem-solving acumen, effective communication abilities, and excellent customer service skills. Behaviourally, a commitment to student-centred education, leadership qualities, adaptability, ethical integrity, resilience, and alignment with the college's core values are crucial.
