About the role:
We are currently looking for a Recruitment Officer within the Human Resources Department to join the recruitment team at Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute in providing a high quality, comprehensive and proactive recruitment support service to the Institute.
You will use your knowledge and expertise to support recruiting managers and will coordinate all aspects of the Institute’s recruitment and selection processes from advertisement through to appointment. For all successful appointments, you will be responsible for ensuring all the pre-employment checks, including right to work checks, are met and satisfied. You will also be responsible for providing a comprehensive HR induction for new appointees.
About you:
You should be educated to degree level in HR management, recruitment or a business-related subject (or equivalent relevant experience) or CIPD Level 5 qualification in Human Resources Management, along with experience of working in a recruitment role, managing recruitment and selection activities which includes practical experience of interviewing candidates. You should have previous experience of applying HR policy and practice to practical situations along with experience of working in a busy HR Department. You will have a knowledge and understanding of current employment legislation and its implications, including the right to work in the UK, UK GDPR and equality legislation. Experience of working within an academic environment or a not-for-profit organisation is desirable.
