Our culture empowers people to achieve this aim and to collectively, and individually, make a real difference.

The role

An exciting opportunity for a full time Administrative Assistant to provide maternity cover (fulltime, fixed term contract), in the innovative Computer Science Research Centre at the University of Surrey.

With the buzz of student life and superb working facilities, geared around helping people get the best of both home and collaborative onsite working.

You will require excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage changing demands in a busy, front-facing office. Alongside providing pro-active support to our postgraduate students and academic staff, you will act as the first point of contact for enquiries to the Centre, dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

About you

You should have previous administration experience, alongside good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide strong administrative support with accuracy and a keen eye for detail. Experience of using Microsoft Office is essential. Ideally you should also have some knowledge and understanding of systems such as Agresso (finance) and SITS (student administration), and web-page management, although training and support will be provided.
