Our Estates Directorate are entrusted with overseeing the management of the University’s historic estate, ensuring it’s legacy is conserved, and our facilities and spaces inspire our future world changers. The Estates Service Desk supports with the management of maintenance requests involving facilities and buildings across all of our campuses.A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estates Information Management System (EIMS) Manager to manage and develop the EIMS system that colleagues use for the operation management and reporting of these requests.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Support Services , the Estates Information Management System (EIMS) Manager will provide specialist support in information management within the EIMS and related systems. This will include:
About you
With experience of working in a role supporting corporate systems, you will also have experience of troubleshooting system user issues and analysing data to inform decision making.
Key to the role are takeholder and relationship management skills, including the ability to manage customer expectations and provide user data feedback.
You will be liaising with the System Delivery provider, the supply chain using the EIMS, the Framework contractor base, all Estates staff, as well as colleagues across the University who use the EIMS’ reporting functionality, as such you should possess effective communication skills
The EIMS relies on agreed workflows of how enquiries and incidents are allocated and actioned. This role will be key in deciding what routes are critical and need to be adjusted or improved as part of the continuous improvement of the system. A detailed understanding of the principles and effective application of an Information Management System in relation to the management of properties or assets within the Portfolio is therefore essential.
