Applications are invited for a Research Associate position in the School of Healthcare Sciences, based at Cardiff University Heath Park campus.
The successful candidate will conduct work within the Research Centre for Clinical Kinesiology using the MOTEK Gait Realtime Interactive Laboratory (GRAIL) system. They will develop a protocol and conduct a study to quantify the modulation of the nociceptive withdrawal reflex throughout the gait cycle, and the effect of tonic pain on this modulation. This work is relevant to the Chronic Pain Neurotechnology Network+, which launched in 2022 and is funded by the UKRI Building Responsible Neurotechnology Research Capability. The role holder will be encouraged to engage with the wider network.
This position can be full time or part time, up to 35 hours per week and fixed term up to 8 months.
