About the Role
We have a full-time vacancy for a suitable candidate to fulfil a challenging and rewarding role within our Joint Research Management Office. This is a central office which supports all research undertaken in Queen Mary University and Bart’s Health NHS Trust. The office comprises of a Pre-Award Section, Post Award and Governance Section.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the Post Award section. The main duties involve diverse range of activities dealing with specific sponsor types e.g. Charities, Research Councils, Industry, Government Offices. The preparation of claims and invoices in a frequency determined by the sponsor ensuring accuracy of information and reconciling the total value of the claim to the general ledger and making any necessary adjustments in agreement with the other central service sections and academic departments. The post holder reports to Post Award Managers.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background. They must have excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills and demonstrate a strong team-work ethic. Previous experience in a similar environment would be advantageous.
