The Department of Sociology seeks to appoint a proactive and highly motivated UG Programme Manager to provide a first-class experience for our students. The post holder will provide lead administration for designated taught undergraduate programmes within the Sociology Department. Your responsibilities will include acting as a focal point of contact for student and applicant enquiries; providing administrative support for UG courses and programmes, supporting the admissions and orientation processes, planning, and organising a wide range of student and alumni activities and events; and crucially, overseeing the co-ordination of examinations and assessment processes. This role will involve supporting students from induction through to graduation. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and organised administrator to join a dynamic and friendly team in a busy academic department.
You will have previous experience of working in a Higher Education environment, preferably in programme management/administration. You will possess excellent communication, IT and interpersonal skills, a responsive and flexible attitude, strong attention to detail and organisational skills, the ability to work on your own initiative as well as within a team and to manage a demanding and varied workload.
We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
