The John Adams Institute for Accelerator Science and the Plasma Physics Research Group, Department of Physics, South Kensington Campus
Fixed term appointment for 24 months
We are looking for a Research Technician who will be responsible for technical support for the extensive range of experiments performed by the group particularly those based on development of plasma accelerators, particle sources and for laser-matter interaction studies. You will be responsible for all laboratory aspects of these studies, from target preparation, diagnostic development, hands-on supervision of staff and students, safety and day-to-day running of the studies.
You will be coordinating research, communicating with teams both from the John Adams Institute and other collaborators at differing levels and scientific/clinical knowledge. The successful candidate will therefore require a range of both high-level technical knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills.
