Role Profile 

The successful individual will be a member of the Financial and Operational Performance Group in DCU Business School. They will conduct high quality research and teaching in Finance and will also participate in the School’s external engagement activities. Further, the successful individual is expected to contribute to programme management, research supervision and the service activities of the School and University. 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Applicants must have a PhD (or be close to submitting a PhD for examination) in any area of Finance. We are particularly looking for applicants capable of researching and teaching in the cross-cutting areas of financial technology, corporate finance and sustainable finance. Relevant industry experience is appreciated. 
  • We are seeking candidates who have a well-defined research plan and have the capability to publish in high impact international journals. Applicants should have (or be able to develop) international networks and collaborations. Applicants should also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills consistent with the highest quality of teaching and learning, together with evidence of successful teamwork and a collegial approach. 
  • The successful applicant will have the opportunity to play an important role in the further development of the School’s national and international reputation, and to make a significant contribution to the research activity and industry engagement of the School and to the design, delivery and management of programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and executive levels. 

Salary Scale:

Assistant Professor (Lecturer Above Bar) - €60,847- €97,512 refer to DCU Payscales for the applicable payscale. 

Appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in line with current Government pay policy
