About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Data Manager to join the Surgical Intervention Trials Unit (SITU), working within a multi-disciplinary environment in order to develop, implement and run clinical trial data management activities. The Clinical Data Manager will join the established Data Management Team within SITU, supporting the activities of the clinical trials and working closely with trial managers and trial co-ordinators. This post will involve setting up and managing efficient data management and administrative systems for the SITU trials, being responsible for the development of case report forms (CRFs), completing database build-related procedures, report creation and liaising with programmers accordingly. You will also be required to deliver database and randomisation system training to SITU and site staff. You will be responsible for ensuring standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data processing are adhered to.
About you
The successful candidate will hold a first degree in IT or life sciences or equivalent experience. It is essential that you have a demonstrable understanding of the role of data management in contributing to the conduct of high-quality clinical trials and compliance with regulatory standards such as ICH-GCP and UK Clinical Trials Regulations. You will have experience of working within a clinical trial setting and using common data management systems. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to self-motivate and work well within a team environment.
This is a full-time post is available immediately and is fixed-term until 15th January 2025 in the first instance. We would be willing to consider applications for part-time hours.
