Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent

Applications are invited for the role of Postgraduate Research Programmes Coordinator to work primarily on the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences' DPhil programmes. With around 70 DPhil students on course in the department at any one time, this is a busy and important role within the department’s operational Postgraduate Programme Team. The postholder will report to the Graduate Studies Officer, who in turn reports to the Head of Programmes.

The Postgraduate Research Programmes Coordinator will support the Graduate Studies Officer (GSO) in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences (NDPCHS) in the administrative planning and delivery of the annual PGR (post-graduate research) student admissions cycle in the department. This includes assisting the GSO in all matters relating to student recruitment and student selection. You will support the GSO with all on-course student processes and will be responsible for minute taking, agendas and distribution of papers for the committees for which the GSO is the administrative lead.

The postholder will also manage the administration of the department’s Academic Clinical Fellows (ACFs), including organising networking events for them where necessary.

You will have previous administration experience, ideally in the academic sector, and have proven organisational skills, with demonstrable ability to take the initiative, multi-task, pay attention to detail and prioritise your own work, including coping with busy periods. You will also have excellent skills in MS office applications; and an ability to work well independently and within a team. Experience of organising events would be an advantage.

This role is offered full-time and permanent.

You will be based in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG. You will spend time in both our Radcliffe Primary Care building and the Gibson Building.

You will be required to upload a CV and Supporting Statement as part of your online application.
