Clinical Research Fellow (Recovery Trial)

Oxford Population Health (Nuffield Department of Population Health) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU) is a major international research institute within Oxford Population Health, and is one of the world’s leading centres for research into chronic diseases, especially heart disease, kidney disease and cancer. 

 

We are seeking a Clinical Research Fellow to work within an existing team of clinicians, statisticians, programmers and study management staff involved in the design, conduct and analysis of the RECOVERY trial, and may also contribute to other clinical trials coordinated by NPDH, or be involved in establishing new studies of infectious diseases in collaboration with the Pandemic Sciences Institute. The successful applicant will be part of a strong and established team carrying out research of the highest methodological quality with the aim of improving global treatment of pneumonia.

 

To be considered for this role you will be medically qualified and GMC registered with a valid licence to practice. You will also need a good grounding and relevant experience in clinical medicine with excellent communication and organisational skills.

 

The post is full time (although part time will be considered) and fixed term for 2 years in the first instance. The closing date for applications is noon on Friday 31 May 2024
