An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Assistant to undertake secretarial and administrative duties to support the CreativeUEA team in the university's Research and Innovation Division, and deliver a strong customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
You will provide efficient and high quality administrative assistance for the UEA research and public engagement project Akenfield Now, which is funded by the Heritage Fund. This role will support the CreativeUEA team and the School of Education and Lifelong Learning in preparing, promoting, managing and evaluating public events for the project between July 2024 and December 2024. The role is situated in the CreativeUEA team, where you will undertake a number of secretarial and administrative duties including: drafting reports, taking minutes, arranging travel, organising meetings and events, answering queries and diary management. You will also assist in the procurement of equipment, and monitor and maintain finances where required.
You will have a good standard of secondary education or equivalent experience in a similar role. Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is the ability to manage a varied workload in a high paced environment. Previous experience in procurement processes, budget management and/or updating websites and social media would be advantageous.
This part-time post (0.2FTE) is available from 1 July 2024 on a fixed term basis for 6 months.
