CURRENT CONTEXT AND FUTURE DIRECTION 

The MBA programme integrates business education with innovative AI-based teaching methods, offering a comprehensive understanding of key business domains.

The Head, Postgraduate Studies will be to expand the postgraduate portfolio to include the introduction of new Masters programmes, as well as a suite of potential PG Certificates, Diplomas and micro-credentials, to grow the PG student numbers and overall reputation of PG studies at BUV.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Senior Lecturer

• PhD or Doctoral qualifications in a relevant discipline area from an internationally recognised institution.
• Proven track record of significant and ongoing success in developing, growing and managing multiple post-graduate programme options.
• Proven track record of effective a Postgraduate Dept management, including staff recruitment, selection, programme team management and building a ‘Post-graduate Culture’
• University or postgraduate teaching experience in the field, having taught programmes where instruction is 100% English.
• Sufficient breadth or depth of specialist knowledge to develop teaching programmes and the provision of student learning support.
• Research experience.
• Knowledge of higher education and ability to use a range of up-to-date delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students.
• Understanding of equal opportunity issues as they may impact on academic content and issues relating to student needs.
• Clean police record.

In addition, for Associate Professor

• Evidence of consistent success at high-quality publications in research or practice.
• Demonstrable ability to lead research projects, win bids, and generate income.
• Experience teaching at postgraduate levels, including but not limited to MBA.
• Experience in academic management, with programme leadership experience of particular interest.

(Desirable)

• Higher education teaching qualification, recognition, accreditation, or willingness to work towards this.
• Evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review.
• Experience of living and working in Vietnam or Asia.
• Experience of teaching, curriculum development and quality assurance and enhancement in a Higher Education environment.
• Evidence of a positive impact at a discipline or programme level beyond own teaching.

Degree, teaching certificates, medical check and CRB or other police checks will be required for work permit purposes. Original copies will be required on arrival in Vietnam.
