About the Role
The post holder is expected to participate in module leading & design, teaching and examination of the PA Masters programme and the PA apprenticeship programme. The post holder will also have commitments to the teaching and examination of the MBBS programme and other postgraduate courses. There will achieve this by:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching including making innovations in key aspects of teaching and learning;
  • Contributing to the administration of key university activities;
  • Maximizing opportunities for public engagement in the subject;
  • Making important pedagogical contributions to the field;
  • Advancing pedagogical knowledge through publications or other forms of scholarship or performance.

The post is based at several QMUL campuses – including Whitechapel/ Mile End/ St Bartholomew’s/ Ilford. It is part time (0.4 FTE), permanent, with an expected start date of August 2024. The starting salary will be pre- 2009, in the range of £55,336 - £65,955 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of the London Allowance.

About You
Key qualifications include MBBS/MRCGP and professional experience and registered with the GMC. Experience in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level in large or small group settings with the demonstrable ability to deliver teaching at both levels with some guidance. Well-developed understanding of student support needs and able to provide guidance, signposting to specialist services where appropriate. Ability to deliver teaching and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate level with some guidance in the subject area of Physician associate studies. Ability to communicate new and complex information effectively, both verbally and in writing, engaging the interest and enthusiasm of the target audience. This includes lecturing students, presentation of pedagogical work at group meetings and conferences and public engagement activities.
