Applications are invited for the position of Accounts Receivable Assistant. Operating within the Finance team, the Accounts Receivable Assistant will be responsible for providing an excellent Accounts Receivable service that is responsive to the needs of all stakeholders, including the College’s students, external customers, sponsors, and staff. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the role holder will manage invoicing, collection, and allocation of tuition fees, and maintain the accuracy of student and sponsor records within the College finance system.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide an excellent Accounts Receivable service, responsive to the needs of students, external customers, sponsors, and staff.

Handle invoicing and collection of tuition fees and other customer invoices.

Allocate received payments accurately within the College finance system.

Maintain accurate student and sponsor records.

Liaise with Registry and Student Support teams regarding student-related bursaries and fees.

Work closely with students, external customers, sponsors, the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the Financial Services Manager, the Registrar, and RCA budget holders and managers.

Support the Accounts Payable section of the Financial Processing Team as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience in an accounts receivable or similar financial role.

Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices.

Familiarity with financial software systems.

Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Skills and Competencies:

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Customer-focused with the ability to build positive relationships with students and other stakeholders.

Ability to work effectively within a team.
