Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Landscape Architecture

Salary: Grade 8/9:
Lecturer: £39,992 - £47,722 per annum. Potential to progress to £53,691 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution.
Senior Lecturer: £50,618 - £56,950. Potential to progress to £65,997 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution.

Summary:

The Department of Landscape is looking to expand its world-leading research and teaching staff cohort by appointing outstanding candidates at the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. There are two posts available. In addition to developing an internationally distinctive research profile, the post-holders will play a major role in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and administration, as well as in the supervision of postgraduate research students.

We are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of Landscape Architecture and a commitment to developing the discipline and profession. Experience of professional practice would be welcomed. Post-holders may specialise in landscape planning, design or management, or have cross-cutting profiles across two or more of these specialisms. We are seeking creative, self-motivated individuals with a well-defined research agenda that engages with issues of contemporary relevance.

Applicants will hold a PhD in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline with proven knowledge and understanding of the field of Landscape Architecture in one or more of the following areas: landscape design, landscape planning, landscape urbanism, landscape management and urban design. Experience of conducting high-quality innovative research in a relevant area of Landscape Architecture and evidence of an ability to deliver high quality teaching and produce high quality research output for publication are essential attributes.

We require all applicants to submit a 200 word maximum statement on their research interests and achievements in relation to Landscape Architecture as part of their application.
