The European and International Team works in three distinct but inter-connected areas of activity, namely: European research funding and policy relating to engagement post-Brexit; Global Challenges, and International research funding development including support for the international research strategy. As European Grants Officer you will work with researchers and colleagues in academic departments across the University to advise on EC research funding opportunities and the preparation and submission of grant applications, handle grant offers and manage award set-ups. In addition, you will play an active role in a range of initiatives and improvement projects within the team and also as part of the wider Research Services group.

Ideally with a good track record in office or administrative skills, you will have a strong customer-focussed ethos and the ability to analyse and interpret detailed documentation. You will possess excellent communication skills, be confident learning new IT systems and have a proven ability to meet deadlines and to prioritise a heavy and varied workload. The post will be providing support to other members of the European and International Team and it is essential that applicants are team-players committed to working as part of a cohesive and busy group.
