An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Research Administration Team. If you’re organised, motivated and looking to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment, then perhaps this is the post for you. The Department’s academic staff are researching the whole range of Biomedical Sciences, and you can be one of the team working to support them by helping to prepare grant applications we submit to a variety of funders.

You will prepare funding applications, and respond to funding related queries. You will work with the senior researchers, junior scientists aiming for fellowships, research funding bodies, collaborative institutions and the University’s central offices.

You will be educated to A-level standard (or equivalent) and have experience of working in a Research Administration function. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of numeracy and attention to detail combined with computer literacy, speed and accuracy of working. Excellent interpersonal skills and good attention to detail are essential for this post. Previous experience of working in a University environment would be an advantage, as would experience of the Oracle Financials accounts system. Appropriate training will be provided.

The closing date for applications is 12.00 midday on Monday 20 August 2018. Interviews are likely to be held on Friday 24 August 2018.
