UEA has some of the most innovative and highly regarded centres for research in the UK. Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Associate to work with Dr Naomi Vaughan on an integrated assessment of the feasibility of greenhouse gas removal, working with a diverse stakeholder group and broad range of disciplinary colleagues. The post is part of a wider interdisciplinary research project exploring multiple dimensions of the Feasibility of Afforestation and Biomass Energy with Carbon Capture and Storage for Greenhouse Gas Removal (http://www.tyndall.ac.uk/FAB-GGR).
The role holder will be expected to take significant initiative in their work by contributing ideas and/or enhancement of research design and methodologies including approaches to expert elicitation, integrated assessments and the synthesis of scientific findings from a diverse range of disciplines. You will have an emerging international publication profile and lead on writing high quality research outputs from the project.
You will have a minimum of a PhD in a relevant area, or equivalent professional experience in geography, environmental sciences, or cognate disciplines, have a track record of publication(s) in peer-reviewed academic journals and be able to fulfil all essential elements of the person specification.
This post is available from 1 November 2018 and may be considered on either a part time (0.8 FTE) basis for a fixed term of 26 months or on a full time basis for a fixed term period of 21 months. (The FTE can be negotiable and considered within the funds limits that support this post.)
