The University of Edinburgh wishes to recruit a Head of Programmes to steer an exciting new phase of the Administrative Data Research Centre – Scotland (ADRC-S). ADRC-S, established in 2014, is part of the Scottish Administrative Data Research Partnership (S-ADRP) - a partnership between, research funders, the National Statistical Authority, Universities, National Services Scotland and National Records Scotland – and the UK ADRP that reaches across Scotland and the UK to facilitate research based upon linked, routinely collected administrative data.
You will be a highly experienced manager with an excellent track record in managing large (£multimillion) multidisciplinary, complex projects or similar business ventures. This new post will play a pivotal role in the development of the Centre and the Scottish ADRP and together with the Director of ADRC-S and other senior academic managers, will ensure the successful integration of a variety of different disciplinary participants and projects and the strategic development of the centre. The postholder will be responsible for the development of the Strategic Impact Programmes and within the Scottish ADRP for the development, implementation and monitoring of the overall shared delivery plan of the partnership. They will lead on internal and external relationships acting as a key liaison officer building and maintaining relationships with external partners, stakeholders and Government departments, raising the profile of the Centre within Scotland, the UK and more widely.
This post is full time, fixed term until 31/03/2021 and is available from 01/10/2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Secondments will be considered.
Salary range: £51,630 - £58,089.
