John Cabot University, an accredited American liberal arts university in Rome, Italy, offering four-year degree programs, invites applications for an open-rank (assistant or associate) full-time tenure-track faculty position in Computer Science. The initial appointment is for two years with the possibility of tenure.
We seek candidates with a PhD in Computer Science or related disciplines (e.g., Information Systems or Engineering), who have demonstrated excellence in teaching and research, and a commitment to academic service and program development. The successful candidate would be expected to teach three courses per semester from a wide range of introductory and advanced undergraduate courses with a focus on security, privacy, programming, system design, business intelligence, and information systems.
The ideal candidate should have familiarity and experience with the American liberal arts tradition and should have work experience in and professional certifications pertaining to the field. Candidates are expected to be fluent in English, which is the language of instruction of the University.
