This is a permanent position, based at the Singleton Campus

Main Purpose of the Post

The main purpose of this post:

  1. Creating multimedia content for PR packages intended for online, broadcast and print, media.
  2. Creating video content from concept through to completion i.e. storyboarding, scripting, self-shooting/ capturing raw footage, editing, grading.
  3. Sourcing and contacting people and briefing them on the editorial intentions; finding locations for filming; ensuring that contributors are well looked after; conducting risk assessments.
  4. Creating graphics/ infographics and animations for use within video content and for social media, ensuring style and corporate branding is consistent.
  5. Working to tight deadlines whilst still creating great content.
  6. Liaising with colleagues to discuss briefs, requirements and project progress.
  7. Liaising with journalists to ensure content meets their needs.
  8. Keeping up-to-date with technological and software developments, as well as the latest digital trends.

Main Duties

  1. To fully engage with the University’s Performance Enabling and Welsh language policies
  2. To promote equality and diversity in working practices and to maintain positive working relationships.
  3. To lead on the continual improvement of health and safety performance through a good understanding of the risk profile and the development of a positive health and safety culture.
  4. Any other duties as directed by the Head of College / Department or their nominated representative expected within the grade definition.
  5. To ensure that risk management is an integral part of any decision making process, by ensuring compliance with the University’s Risk Management Policy
