This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit (ECTU). Based within the Usher Institute at Edinburgh Bioquarter, ECTU is a close collaboration between the clinical academic community affiliated to the University and NHS Lothian. ECTU supports the development and delivery of research proposals which answer important questions that will have a bearing on treatment and service delivery within the NHS. ECTU’s aim is to ensure the delivery of high quality regulated and non-regulated randomised controlled trials. Initially, with a primary responsibility to lead on a NIHR funded study in palliative care but you will be expected to contribute your expertise in support of other studies within ECTU as required.
This role will require close communication with the trial sponsor, clinical trials units, pharmacies and investigators across the UK. You will be educated to postgraduate level and have significant experience in trial administration and/or trial management. Some travel within the UK will be required.
This post is full-time (35 hours/week), available from April 1st 2019 for 2 years in the first instance (subject to on-going research funding).
