Since the development of the Nottingham-Ningbo campus in 2004, the Centre for English Language Education (CELE) has aimed to promote high quality EAP teaching in its structure and support of academic programmes delivered in China.

Job Outline:

Pre-Sessional Tutors in English for Academic Purposes are primarily responsible for delivering pre-sessional EAP classes at the University of Nottingham Ningbo, China (UNNC). Teachers will also be required to deliver 1-1 support tutorials for students as part of their workload.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will be provided with a salary package of 7,000 RMB per week (before tax) and a casual contract for 10 weeks. In addition, an attractive package including accommodation, domestic flights within China will be provided.

*This position does not constitute full-time or long-term employment beyond the pre-sessional period stated above. Successful applicants must already have a valid Chinese work visa and residence permit (i.e. must already be legally employed in mainland China). It is also strongly advised that applicants secure permission from their primary employers to work at UNNC for this period. Working on the CELE pre-sessional in no way entitles applicants to further employment at UNNC, though teachers who perform well on the pre-sessional will be encouraged to apply for full-time positions in subsequent recruitment rounds.

How to Apply:

Applicants should first complete this qualtrix survey and then send their CV and cover letter to celeke@nottingham.edu.cn before 10 Feb 2019.
