The Residential Landlords Association, representing over 50,000 private rented sector landlords in England and Wales, is the sector’s leading association.

Our housing research makes national headlines, is frequently quoted in Parliament and respected by stakeholders across the sector

We are seeking to recruit a research officer to develop our Private renting evidence and research lab – RLA PEARL. Undertaking and commissioning new research, building relationships with academic institutions, think tanks and campaign organisations and curating relevant data and third party research, the successful candidate will be joining a growing not-for-profit member association with a reputation for evidence-based policy innovation.

Skills and experience

  • Experience of conducting qualitative and quantitative research
  • Experience in using Online surveys (formerly BOS)
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting policy proposals 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish priorities and manage a complex workload
  • Networking and influencing skills

Knowledge of and/or interest in government and politics; research methodology; statistics; social policy; or economic policy desirable.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent academic qualification in relevant subject area

Based in Sale, Greater Manchester. Salary up to £25,000
