The University has a long tradition in providing well-regarded built environment education and is one of the major providers of professionally accredited surveying, property, and construction programmes in the UK. Our School of the Built Environment and Architecture has excellent links with industry, commerce and the professions, and has a high graduate conversion rate into chartered RICS membership.
We seek an enthusiastic and results-oriented professional to contribute to the teaching and academic development of Quantity Surveying, and its related subject areas on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate built environment courses. In addition, the role will involve academic management, conducting enterprise, professional and scholarly activities. You should already have/be in the processing of developing, an established research profile.
The post is Permanent, Full Time.
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator and teacher, committed to collegial practice and to enhancing the experience of students from a diverse background. You will ideally have an Honours degree and a PhD (or close to completing one) in a Quantity Surveying related subject, experience of teaching in the higher education sector, practical experience in the building industry, and membership of a relevant professional body.
