Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Permanent

Homerton College invites applications for a College Lectureship in Law with effect from 1st May 2019, if possible, although some flexibility may be possible for the right candidate.  As a college we are committed to access and diversity, and we are keen to grow and consolidate our college law team as we further strengthen our undergraduate cohort. The salary scale for College Teaching Officer appointments is from point 28 to 35 on the National Spine (£31,303 - £38,458 pro rata) and the post is pensionable under USS.  The Lectureship will carry a College Fellowship. This is a permanent position after a probationary period. The college would be willing to consider highly qualified applicants interested in the post as a substantive part-time appointment.

The College’s teaching needs cover the whole of Part I Law (see http://ba.law.cam.ac.uk/), and we expect the post holder to be able to make substantial contributions to core parts of the course. The post-holder will be expected to be research active in their speciality.

Further details about the post, the application form and guidance notes for referees can be obtained at https://www.homerton.cam.ac.uk/vacancies

To apply for the role, the following should be submitted by email on personnel@homerton.cam.ac.uk to Katrina Wilson, Personnel Administrator by midday on Tuesday 12th March 2019:

  • Letter of Application, to include a statement of current and future research, and a list of courses that the applicant would feel able to teach (no more than two sides of A4)
  • Application Form
  • CV
  • Equal Opportunities Form (optional)

Applicants are also asked to arrange for references to be sent from three referees directly to the Personnel Office by the above date; please refer to the Guidance Notes for Referees for further details.

Interviews are expected to take place in the week beginning 25th March 2019.
