We are seeking to recruit up to 4 Lecturers in Criminology/Criminal Justice and a further 1 Lecturer post in either Sociology, Criminology or Social Policy.
These posts are open to candidates with evidenced potential, or an established, track record of research excellence and substantive, considered, plans for developing their research profile into the future. We are interested in applications from different areas of academic focus but are particularly interested in people with a good fit with our current research strengths that will also strengthen our teaching of criminology, criminal justice, sociology or social policy. Experience of teaching, or the capacity to teach quantitative methods is also desirable for at least one of the posts.
We make an exceptional contribution to research training for students at the University and in the wider North West region and we welcome applications from candidates with good research skills who can lead or contribute to methods teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research levels. You should have a PhD in criminology, criminal justice or a cognate discipline (completed or submitted and awaiting viva).
