Do you want to be part of the development of a major new national initiative in Applied Health for Patient Benefit? We seek academic leaders to help build and develop our vision and impact around our three research themes: Healthcare Quality & Safety, Healthy Ageing and Healthy Childhood. You will be a successful academic and passionate research leader able to work collaboratively, committed to improving health outcomes in Bradford and beyond.
These exciting positions result from a partnership between Bradford Institute of Health Research, the University of Bradford and the University of Leeds and Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Recent successes have included the establishment of a Wolfson Centre for Applied Healthcare Research and a NIHR Patient Safety Translational Research Centre. As a senior academic, as well as contributing to the mission of the Wolfson Centre for Applied Healthcare Research, you will also help us grow and develop capacity and capabilities at the University of Bradford to develop and deliver applied health research for patient benefit.
Our ideal candidate will have demonstrable strength in developing and testing digital innovations in health to improve Safety and Quality of care with enhanced patient benefit. Your drive will be to ensure and improve care quality and the effectiveness of health interventions using new tools, and to provide an evidence base for interventions that may be successful. You will have demonstrable experience of evaluation and implementation of digital tools in a health setting.
We particularly welcome applications from women and under-represented groups. The posts may be considered for job-share. Clinically qualified applicants will have a time allowance provided so that the postholder can hold honorary clinical contract to maintain registration. The post can be provided as a fractional appointment to allow the postholder to maintain paid clinical practice or other paid roles. Salary is based on the Professorial scale (Professor Grade 11, Grade 10 Reader) and is negotiable.
