Salary: £30,395 to £39,609 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the above post based at University Park, School of Humanities, in the Department of Philosophy.

The successful candidate will provide high quality teaching in Philosophy and to contribute to the planning, design and development of teaching in that area. The successful candidate will module convene the level 1 module History of Philosophy: Ancient to Modern. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to teaching of other modules, supervise UG dissertations, and have personal tutoring responsibilities. The candidate will undertake such administrative tasks as agreed with the Head of Department.

Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to design and deliver high quality and up-to-date course materials, experience and demonstrable success in delivering undergraduate teaching. A higher education teaching qualification or equivalent is desirable.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term basis from 1 September 2019 (although a later start date in September is negotiable) until 30 June 2022. Hours of work are part-time (18.13 hours per week).
