Are you looking for a new and challenging role with Higher Education? Do you have experience within ideally Admissions or perhaps Student Compliance or have an Academic background and looking for something away from the classroom but still with student contact?
About the role: Working within the Admissions Team, you will be responsible for our Degree Apprentice Programme assisting learners throughout the application process ensuring all are fully compliant with the Education and Skills Funding Agency rules. Our role is not for the faint hearted, as you will have the organisational, coordination and people management skills to ensure our agreed SLA’s and KPI’s with university partners are managed, tracked and delivered. You will be passionate about customer service as our Learner journey is of huge importance to us so it’s vital for a positive, timely and accurate process.
Day to day:
Assisting learners throughout the application process
Processing accurately apprenticeships data and completion date
Daily monitoring of mailboxes, replying to any queries from applicants and recruiters
Management of Leaver non achiever process - audit & compliance check
Able to lead, motivate and line manage a small team effectively
Accountability for Programme offers and query turnaround times with agreed university partners
Ownership of every aspect of the admissions process ensuring all QAHE applicants and external agents receive an outstanding level of customer service
Confirm decisions on applications on receipt of qualifications, verifying qualifications, establishing fee status and updating the student records database and, where appropriate, making decisions on borderline applications within guidelines set
To contribute to the analysis of student numbers and take appropriate action and forward planning in response to findings
To identify and implement application process improvement
Bring your experience:
Academic or compliance experience is desirable
Experience of administering degree apprenticeship admissions would be considered strongly advantageous
Proven track record of successfully operating in the education sector in a similar role
Understanding of the application process and higher education admission
Ability to speak a foreign language would be an advantage
