Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for a stipendiary lectureship in Politics, tenable from 1st September 2019, for one academic year.
The lecturer will undertake teaching for an average of 6 contact hours per week during term time (averaged across the period of appointment) to undergraduates reading Politics at Lady Margaret Hall. The lecturer will be expected to teach the Introduction to the Practice of Politics (Section A of the first year PPE syllabus and its equivalent for the History and Politics syllabus) and the core second year options Comparative Government and Political Sociology.
The ability to teach other papers on the PPE syllabus and History and Politics syllabus would be an advantage.
Salary will be on the Senior Tutors’ scale for stipendiary lecturers, i.e. (£13,513 - £15,198 for six hours at 2018/19 rates) with USS pension and other benefits.
