Salary:

£27,025 to £39,609 per annum, (pro rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience (minimum £30,395 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance

This role holder will be an important part of a multidisciplinary team working to investigate the links between Nottingham’s universities and historical transatlantic slavery (as recently pursued by the University of Glasgow and UCL).Working as part of the Nottingham and Historical Slavery Group, the successful candidate will deliver research, stakeholder engagement and impact.

The role-holder will coordinate relationships with internal and external research partners and stakeholders, deliver a major report, and deliver knowledge exchange. The role may involve travel. We particularly welcome applications from candidates who have completed a PhD (or close to completion) or equivalent level research focused on the historical transatlantic slavery connections of the United Kingdom and with experience of public engagement in this area.

This role is available on a fixed term contract until 31st May 2021. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.

The role is available to start from 1st November 2019.
