The Department of Classics is seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Education) in Ancient History. The successful candidate will teach over a range of topics (as indicated in the Job Pack), assist with the pastoral support of students, carry out administrative duties, and contribute to the research life of the Department. The Lecturer will be supported through mentoring and training to develop their career.

Candidates should specialise in any aspect of Ancient Greek and Roman History. They will have a record of inspiring teaching and a commitment to academic development of the subject and its promotion through public engagement.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 2 years and 8 months.

This is a part-time post - 50% full time equivalent.
