Based within the Strategic Partnerships Office, the Business Partnerships Coordinator will be the central contact point for speculative approaches from potential corporate partners. The Coordinator fulfils an important brokerage role, supporting connections between academics and other activities within the University. The role holder will therefore need to develop a network of contacts with academic groups, the knowledge exchange community, and other stakeholders within the University and the local cluster.
A central function of the role includes designing and delivering innovative events and tailored visits to showcase the range of opportunities for engagement across the University. The successful candidate will also need to design and implement appropriate processes and systems to ensure that enquires and the early stages of corporate engagement are managed effectively and professionally.
To thrive in this role, you need to be an excellent communicator able to build meaningful and productive relationships at all levels of seniority, working in a fast-paced environment. You will also bring experience of working in a relationship management role in a University-business context.
Applicants should be educated to at least degree level, and it would be advantageous to hold a PhD or equivalent.
