Applications are invited for a 0.8 FTE position of Research Assistant to join the Cambridge Blood and Stem Cell Biobank, which works closely with academic research groups and the regional Haemato-oncology Diagnostic Service at the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.

We are seeking a motivated individual to become a valued member of the research team. You will have good organisational skills, a flexible approach to work, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The majority of the work will involve the processing and banking of cellular subsets from patients with haematological malignancies, including cell sorting, cell culture and molecular biology. Experience of these techniques would be an advantage but is not essential. Previous experience of clinical trials and/or database design and management would be an advantage.

The successful applicant should have a degree in an appropriate biological subject or substantial basic laboratory experience.
