The Spanish and Portuguese section in the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics at the University of Cambridge is seeking to appoint a Temporary Teaching Associate in Colonial Latin American Literary and Cultural Studies for the 2020-21 academic year (10 months) starting on 1 September or as soon as possible thereafter.

The Temporary Teaching Associate will be expected to contribute to the teaching of undergraduate courses in Colonial early modern Latin American literature and culture, from introductory to advanced levels; to contribute to Spanish language teaching for beginners and post-A-level students; and to contribute to the administration of the Section's activities. An ability to contribute to teaching in modern (post-Independence) Latin American literature may also be an advantage.

Candidates will normally hold a PhD in a relevant field and show outstanding achievement and/or potential in research and publication in the field of Colonial Latin American studies.
