Job description:

Scientific contributions to the research project “Negotiating the Futures of Education”; qualitative research on the construction of narratives on the future(s) of education; communication of project results via joint publications, workshop and/or conference participation; collaboration with other researchers in the Cluster to relate results of the project to the broader research agenda of SCRIPTS; opportunity to work towards a doctorate

Requirements:

Excellent academic degree (M.A. or equivalent) in Education or related disciplines; familiarity with research in at least one of the following fields: international education policy, education for development, International Organizations; familiarity with one region of the Global South; experience in qualitative approaches, ideally ethnography and/or discourse analysis; very good English (spoken and written)

In the project “Negotiating the Futures of Education”, we want to analyse how visions of the future of education are negotiated and contested, looking at how narratives about the future of education are constructed by UNESCO and OECD in two currently running projects, Futures of education (UNESCO) and Future of education and skills 2030 (OECD).
