An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) to lead the Lancashire Forensic Science Academy, in partnership with Lancashire Constabulary and the Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner. The Lancashire Forensic Science Academy was formed in 2018 as a strategic partnership between UCLan, Lancashire Constabulary and the Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner created to:

  • identify, develop and deliver consultancy services to external parties;
  • enhance forensic science services in Lancashire.

The academy is the first collaboration of its kind within policing and forensic science, where forensic science experts and students will work alongside each other in new, purpose-built police facilities to research, investigate and deliver forensic science services in Lancashire. We now anticipate significant opportunities to grow the activity further in line with national initiatives to revolutionise forensics in both traditional and digital domains.
