The University of Glasgow has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Research Fellow, funded by the BHF Research Excellence Award in Cardiovascular Science & Medicine.
As a successful candidate you will undertake a 3-year PhD. Your PhD will focus on research related to mechanistic and translational research into vascular and cardiovascular conditions of clinical relevance. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with outstanding researchers in vascular biology and associated clinical conditions. A detailed programme of work will be developed together with the future supervisors.
The BHF Research Excellence Award in Cardiovascular Science & Medicine aims to further expand its vascular research stream and particularly welcomes applications from candidates with an interest in aspects of vascular biology including but not limited to endothelial function, vascular remodeling and vascular fibrosis. The Centre strongly encourages candidates to develop, together with their supervisor, a translational research project with components of basic (discovery) and clinical science.
