We have 3 Post Doctoral positions in neuroscience, lung physiology, inflammatory disease at the University of Glasgow. Vacancy references : 045785, 045825 and 045826.
The Tobin and Milligan laboratories at the Centre of Translation Pharmacology, University of Glasgow have three post doctoral positions focused on the design of next generation G protein coupled receptor drugs to tackle some of the biggest medical challenges. Amongst these is dementia which through a Wellcome Trust Collaborative Awarded to the Tobin lab draws together a consortium of industrial and academic collaborators across the world to target the muscarinic receptor family in Alzheimer’s disease. In the second post an MRC funded grant to the Milligan and Tobin labs aimed at applying novel drug-design principles to targeting the free fatty acid receptor family in the treatment of inflammatory airway diseases such as asthma. The third position is BBSRC funded to apply cutting edge chemical genetic approaches investigate the role of short chain fatty acids in immune responses.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with experience and interest in neuroscience and neurodegenerative disease or mouse lung physiology or immunity and inflammation.
The candidates should have a PhD in a biological discipline and have published articles in international journals.
This post is fixed term until 28 December 2021.
