The Dance Department at the University of Chichester is seeking to recruit an Associate Lecturer with Dance practitioner/performance experience to deliver contemporary technique, ballet, aerial/physical theatre or another codified dance technique.
This post will be on a temporary fixed term basis and will contribute to modules such as Dance Technique, Performance Techniques and Repertory and contribute to the University’s undergraduate and possibly postgraduate degree routes.
The programmes adopt a student-centred approach to learning and teaching and the successful candidate will have experience of delivering high quality, interactive teaching or training activities in Dance. The BA programme has consistently scored very highly in the NSS and the University was recently awarded a Silver in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
The candidate should have appropriate experience of teaching either professional or higher level studio Dance practice and have a teaching/or equivalent professional qualifications. You will also need to possess a comprehensive subject knowledge and have experience of marking written and practical assessments.
