We are looking for an enthustiastic and compassionate individual to join our Wellbeing Service which is part of the QMU Student Services department.
You will be working closely with the the other services in the Student Services Team such as Counselling, Disability Services, Careers and Employability and Student Funding. You will also work closely with the Programme team in Paramedic Science.
You will be providing mental health and wellbeing interventions for paramedic science students experiencing medium to long-term, and at times complex mental health difficulties. You will manage case loads and care planning, liaising internally and externally with partner agencies ensuring supports are coordinated and appropriate. You will provide placement support and curricular inputs to the paramedic programme on relevant topics relating to mental health. You will be expected to support students in crisis and effectively manage risk, working collabortatively internally and externally.
We are looking for a highly motivated person educated to degree level or equivalent with experience in providing mental health and crisis support preferably to students and young people.
You must be able to work independently and manage your own workload. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong and effective partnerships internally with students and staff and externally with partner agencies.
