We are seeking a Learning Officer to work within our busy Clinical Skills teaching suite, supporting education across the School of Health. 

Our Clinical Skills team provides technical and educational support in Physiotherapy, Sports Science, Occupational Therapy, Adult and Mental health Nursing.

You will be based in our modern Clinical Skills suite which houses our:

  • Purpose-built community living area features a kitchen, living space, bathroom, bed and a wide range of adapted equipment to enable users to simulate real life scenarios and gain hands on experience.
  • Dedicated practice rooms provide hands on learning in electrotherapy, massage, heat therapy and cardiovascular and respiratory testing.
  • Simulation room which has a dedicated clinical space, viewing and control rooms, featuring a high-fidelity patient simulator, a critical-care profiling bed, theatre lighting and an emergency call system

The postholder will join a small team of experienced learning officers providing a technical service to both staff and students using the clinical skills suite.

The successful applicant will ensure the general tidiness of the clinical skills suite, assist with the preparation of learning materials for undergraduate classes, stock control and also be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the principles of safety information.
